Meet Rob
Rob has been part of Dunoon for over 40 years, spending more than 30 of those making moulds.
As a long-standing member of our pottery team in Stone, Staffordshire, he brings decades of experience to a craft that plays an essential role in how our fine bone china mugs are made.

The Craft Behind Every Shape
Before a mug can be cast, it needs a mould. Rob’s work helps give each Dunoon shape its form, creating the plaster moulds used in our traditional casting process.
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential: the quality of the mould helps our casters reproduce the shape consistently, mug after mug.
40 Years of Experience
With more than three decades of mug making behind him, Rob holds a wealth of practical knowledge. His work is one of the many skilled stages behind a finished Dunoon mug, often unseen when you’re enjoying your morning cuppa.
We’re proud to share a little of his story and recognise the contribution he continues to make to our family business.
