“For me, it’s about shapes and textures, and how they come together in a considered way, or a little more spontaneously when the design is abstract.
I think carefully about how each design wraps around the mug, so it feels balanced and works beautifully in its 3D form.”
A Recognisable Style
Caroline’s designs show how simple shapes can come together to create something full of character.
Rich reds, sunny yellows, fresh greens and deep blues sit against white fine bone china, with soft variations in colour giving the patterns a painterly feel.

“My designs tend to flow naturally as I work. I’m drawn to textures and washes, and the way they bring depth and character to a design. For me, it’s less about a specific source of inspiration and more about letting the design develop as I go.”
